About MyHope
MyHope is a tracking log for people living with diabetes. The premise is simple: one reading means almost nothing, and a hundred organised readings mean everything. The platform takes what you enter and turns it into the same metrics your doctor uses — time in range, average glucose, GMI, coefficient of variation — then puts them on one page you can print and bring with you.
What it is, and what it is not
It is a logging and education tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, it does not prescribe, and it does not replace your doctor. The calculators apply published formulas to the numbers you type in — so if your inputs are wrong, the outputs are wrong to exactly the same degree.
Privacy
It runs on a single private server. No advertising, no third-party analytics, no outbound data pipelines. Passwords are stored with bcrypt and sessions are protected with CSRF tokens. You can download everything you have entered as CSV from Settings, and deleting your account removes every record with it, immediately.
Sources
The Learn pages and the clinical thresholds used on the dashboard follow widely published guidance: the 2019 international consensus on time in range, the Standards of Care in Diabetes, the GMI equation (Bergenstal 2018), and the estimated average glucose equation from the ADAG study (Nathan 2008). They are summarised in plain language rather than quoted.
